A More Connected Approach to Wellness
Personalized acupuncture designed around you.
Acupuncture is a highly individualized practice that uses very fine needles at specific points on the body. At Helios, each session is tailored to your goals, your current state, and what your practitioner observes during the visit. Helios is proud to introduce Frank He and his team from HeCares. Founded in 2001 by internationally recognized practitioner Frank He, L. Ac., QME, HeCares specializes in an integrative approach to health. Their expertise in sports medicine and pain management is anchored by a proprietary Muscle Channel Technique (MCT), a groundbreaking method that earned attention from conventional physicians and became the highlight of The 21st Symposium of AAMA in 2009.
With over two decades of experience, HeCares Integrative Medicine Center provides a high standard of care with excellent clinical outcomes in treating a wide variety of specialties, including sports injuries, pain, fertility, prenatal and pediatrics. And now, Frank and his team is at your doorstep in Menlo Park.
FIND YOUR BALANCE
Your body is constantly adapting.
Stress, physical activity, travel, work, sleep and everyday life can all affect how you feel.
Acupuncture offers a quiet opportunity to slow down and give your body focused attention. Depending on your goals, your session may incorporate acupuncture alongside other traditional techniques to create a personalized experience.
Acupuncture at Helios may be particularly well suited for those looking to support:
Stress & Relaxation
Create space to slow down and shift out of the demands of everyday life.
Recovery
Complement your physical recovery and wellness routine.
Mobility & Physical Ease
Support a greater sense of ease and comfort in the body.
Balance & Wellbeing
Develop a regular practice centered around maintaining your overall sense of wellbeing.
YOUR FIRST SESSION
Start with a conversation.
Your first acupuncture appointment begins with a conversation about you.
Your practitioner will learn about your goals, your current experience, and what you’d like to get from acupuncture. You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions and understand what to expect before your treatment begins.
Your session is then tailored specifically to you.
There is no standard protocol and no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what you need.
ACUPUNCTURE Follow Up
A moment to slow down.
During your session, your practitioner will select acupuncture points based on your individual goals and assessment.
The needles used in acupuncture are extremely fine, and treatment is generally designed to be a quiet, restorative experience. You may simply relax while the needles remain in place, allowing yourself a period of stillness away from the pace of everyday life.
Depending on your practitioner and your goals, your session may also incorporate complementary techniques.
ACUPUNCTURE AT HELIOS
Ancient practice. Individualized experience.
Acupuncture has been practiced for thousands of years. At Helios, we approach it with the same philosophy we bring to everything we do:
Understand the individual. Look at the whole system. Personalize the experience.
Acupuncture doesn’t have to exist in isolation.
For some clients, it becomes one component of a broader Helios wellness routine alongside bodywork, photobiomodulation, somatic work, movement and recovery practices.
